Membership of SIETAR Europa
Who
can join?
Membership is open to organizations, institutions
and individuals who support the aims of SIETAR
Europa. If you live and work in a country where
there is a local or national SIETAR, unless you
have a special reason for joining SIETAR Europa
directly, you should address your application
to that group. Please look at the list
of links for information about other SIETARs.
Why
renew your membership?
Dear fellow SIETAR members,
Thank you for your interest,
curiosity and concern about SIETAR Europa during
the past year!
We had a very effective Congress this year and
want to build on this success!
You know that SIETAR’s
fundamental role and mission has always been,
to encourage the development and application of
knowledge, values and skills to facilitate effective
intercultural and interethnic relations at individual,
group, organization and community levels.
- we make people more aware of how culture
affects education, policy-making & business,
we help people communicate across cultures
- we provide expert information and assistance
in intercultural situations
- we develop standards for intercultural work
and we promote exchange of ideas and experience
in the intercultural field
And, our knowledge has
developed and spread over more areas! There is
an increasing need for what we can offer –
greater awareness of intercultural problems and
a pressing need for solutions!
We encourage you to stay
connected to SIETAR!
In order to serve our
members better, to improve information services,
to continue researching the impact & dynamics
of culture on individuals and societies we need
you! Together we can be a powerful force to address
dominance, ethnocentricity & cultural conflict!
As a voice for the intercultural profession, we
can create public and end user awareness of the
value and benefits of intercultural work!
Be an active member!

For example send us your
ideas to contribute to the newsletter! Any time!
Everything is interesting! Share your experiences,
resources & best practises and what you have
learned from others! Help us to do local projects
in communities with greater diversity! Join us
in raising membership funds that allow low income
members to join. Create funded projects with European
institutions. Join us in contnuing to support
new SIETAR organizations globally and in expanding
our links with related organizations outside of
the SIETAR network.
Together we can do it!
