Administrators' Area

This page is written explicitly for the use of the Forum Supervisors and Forum Support Team members. However, anyone who wants to know more about the process of administering the Forum is most welcome to look and learn.

There will be five forums in dialogin.com one for each of the five SIETAR Online Congress themes: Academic, Arts and Media, Business, Government and Voluntaru

You (and your co-supervisor) need to agree on what the aims of your forum are. You then click on Propose a forum and fill in the boxes accordingly. Give the FORUM the title, e.g., "SIETAR: Business." Peter Franklin at dialogin will then approve it. Only one person can be the facilitator. The other person works in the wings.

Presenters start a Thread with the title of their presentation and some introductory blurb. They do this by clicking New Topic. In this thread they can refer to a Publication(s) (word .doc or .ppt slides or whatever) which they have previously uploaded under Members' publications. They should be sure to link in this publication by clicking Post a publication in this forum in the forum itself.

Conducting Live Chats
Forum Supervisors and Support Team Members have the opportunity to offer live synchronous chats with Presenters and Moderators. They can do this by clicking Live discussions in the left-hand menu and then clicking Propose a live discussion at the top of the page and filling in the boxes. Here they should make clear which forum and which presentation or thread the proposed chat relates to.

Homepages
Supervisors and presenters should set up their own www.dialogin.com homepage and should look at the homepages of all the others involved.
